WHAT'S HAPPENING

1. 2019 Claflin Consultation Initiative-
Sponsored by the Office for Women's Careers

If you are applying for a Claflin Distinguished Scholar Award, and have questions about the process, the OWC encourages you to take advantage of the pre-award Claflin Consultation Initiative (CCI) for applicants. The CCI is designed to help eligible faculty prepare their best application for the 2019 Claflin Distinguished Scholar Awards. Many prior Claflin winners have volunteered their time to answer questions and offer guidance and encouragement to applicants. Through the CCI, you can speak with a Claflin alumna for advice on your application including your research plan, personal statement, and letters.

Please note: If you have questions about your eligibility, please email ecor@mgh.harvard.edu before requesting a consultation.

Deadline to apply for a consultation: Friday, November 2, 2018
(Claflin Application deadline: December 11, 2018)

In this 60-minute workshop, we'll describe three elements of Presence that apply to everyone, regardless of your role, that can easily be learned and refined. You'll leave with some tips and techniques for creating a positive first impression, enhancing your verbal presence, and being intentional about connecting with others.
