1. "Meet and Greet" Faculty Networking Lunch with Dr. Shelly F. Greenfield on Apr 24-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Networking Series

The “Meet and Greet” series is an opportunity to meet a distinguished faculty member, hear about her career path in academic medicine and network with your colleagues. Dr. Greenfield is the editor in chief of the Harvard Review of Psychiatry and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Her current research focuses on substance use disorders. She will share her personal career story as a clinician, researcher, and hospital leader.

Effective negotiation skills are crucial in your career and your everyday life, but many women do not feel confident in their negotiation abilities. This workshop will help you learn the basics of negotiation, and will demonstrate how you can apply them to become a more confident negotiator moving forward.

This interactive workshop will discuss the importance of speaking up across authority gradients, as well as giving effective receiver-focused feedback. An array of strategies and techniques will be taught and demonstrated. Using simulated cases, participants will have opportunities to practice these skills in a safe and supported environment.
