1. Innovative Women Speak: How to Turn Your Ideas Into Patents on Mar 8-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Career Advancement Series

Are you unsure what types of ideas are patentable?
Do you want to learn how to take the first steps to a patent?
Did you know only about 10% of MGH patent disclosures come from women?

In this Office for Women’s Careers program, representatives from Partners Innovation will discuss how they can help you access industry collaborations, venture investing, and licensing expertise. In addition, women inventors from the MGH faculty will share their experiences moving ideas through the patent and licensing process. Come learn how you can advance your career by moving your ideas into the business development space.

4. Managing Difficult Conversations on Mar 1-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Negotiation Series
    Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development

We all have conversations we avoid, such as raising a sensitive topic with our boss, colleagues or others. The focus of the session will be on the structure of difficult conversations and the systematic errors we make when trying to discuss sensitive or emotional topics. In addition, it will explore the mental shifts that can help you change your difficult conversations into learning conversations.
