1. FEW SPOTS LEFT: "Meet and Greet" Networking Lunch on Nov 30-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Networking Series

The OWC’s “Meet and Greet” networking series provides an opportunity for faculty to hear from a senior HMS faculty member about her career path, and is also a great way to meet colleagues in a relaxed setting.

Denise L. Faustman, MD, PhD, the November guest of honor, is a 2016 inductee into the National Academy of Inventors. She will share her personal career story as a physician, researcher and inventor.

2. Negotiation Boot Camp on Dec 6-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Negotiation Series

Effective negotiation skills are crucial for your career (e.g. academic promotion, transitioning to a new position, authorship decisions, salary/resource requests) and in your everyday life as well, but many women do not feel confident in their negotiation abilities. This Office for Women's Careers workshop will help you learn the basics of negotiation and will demonstrate how you can apply them to become a more confident negotiator moving forward.

3. Conflict Management at Work on Jan 10-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Negotiation Series
    Co-Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development and the Graduate Student Division

This seminar will explore the benefits of understanding conflict and provide a pragmatic, situational approach to conflict resolution. Melissa Brodrick will demonstrate how and when to use the conflict-handling styles effectively and coach participants to initiate productive dialogue to deal with conflict situations.
