1. LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER! Partners Innovation Fund: Letís Make a Deal on Jul 26-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Career Advancement Series

The team from the Partners Innovation Fund (PIF) will present an introduction to their venture fund, which is a $165M fund specifically focused on early stage investments in Partnerís technologies. In addition, faculty who have collaborated with the PIF team will discuss their experiences.

2. Mock Study Section for NIH Grant Reviews on Aug 9-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Communication Series

Would you like to know what happens after you send your grant application to NIH? This Ďmockí study section will provide a window into the NIH grant review process. Featuring MGH faculty with extensive NIH study section experience, this program will help you:
    •  Understand the NIH instructions to reviewers and the grant scoring process
    •  Experience the type of discussion that takes place on NIH review panels
    •  See examples of funded and unfunded grants being reviewed

3. MGPA Monthly Planning Committee meeting on Aug 24-
    Sponsored by the Mass General Postdoc Association

The Mass General Postdoc Association (MGPA), with the support of the ORCD, offers career development, networking and social events specifically tailored for postdoctoral research fellows. All MGH postdocs are welcome to join the MGPA. Attend monthly planning meetings to:
    •  Help plan upcoming events
    •  Share your ideas for future events and initiatives
    •  Become eligible for elected positions on the MGPA board, and MGPA travel awards

If yes - Make an appointment to meet with Amy Robb, Associate Director for Prospect Research and Funding Opportunities, Corporate & Foundation Relations, MGH Development Office, to set up personalized funding searches. Amy can meet with individuals or small groups who share funding goals.

This consultation will help you:
    •  Set up search parameters designed to identify funding sources for
        your research program.
    •  Receive a weekly report of updated search results.
    •  Gain a greater understanding of how to use COS Pivot to conduct
        additional searches on your own.
