A Q&A session for international medical graduates (IMGs).

Do you need guidance to become a successful applicant for medical residency? Do you have questions about the Match? If so, please come to this Q&A session to learn from successful IMGs in the MATCH. 2. Mentoring Program for MGH Postdocs applications due Jun 2-
    Sponsored by the Mass General Postdoc Association

Are you interested in a career in academia, industry, or medicine/clinical? The MGPA is pleased to announce the second session of the Mentoring Program for MGH Postdocs. The MGPA Mentoring Circles program is structured into groups of 2-3 mentees and 1 mentor (who is established in the career path of interest). Each group is focused on one career path: Academia, Industry and Medicine/Clinical. Groups will meet on a monthly basis for 9 months for knowledge, support and encouragement with the goal of advancing the mentees’ careers.

Time Commitment:
    •  Monthly meeting (2-3 hours) for 9 months
    •  1 Kickoff / Training session (June 2017)
    •  1 End Celebration Event (March 2018)

    Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series

The final Research Conduct of Research (RCR) session of the 2016-2017 academic year will discuss:
   - Management of research data for publication and sharing
   - Research integrity in collaborations and publications
   - Perspectives of an HMS policymaker and a senior faculty member

4. ICE Club Resume Clinic on Jun 27-
    Sponsored by the Mass General Postdoc Association

The Industry Careers Exposure (ICE) Club will be hosting Lauren Celano from Propel Careers for our next resume clinic. Lauren will give a presentation and run a panel discussion on the format and content of successful industry resumes. A limited number of postdocs will have their resumes reviewed by industry resume experts in small critique circles to provide real-time feedback and learn from others.

This workshop focuses on handling challenging situations, celebrating achievements, and supporting student science writing. Through discussion of case studies, attendees will learn about common mistakes in mentorship and strategies to prevent and address problems. 2. Investor Pitch Competition: "Major League Tryouts" on May 25-
    Sponsored by Boston Biomedical Innovation Center (B-BIC)

The B-BIC Skills Development Center in collaboration with LabCentral is pleased to host its second annual Investor Pitch Competition: “Major League Try-Outs." After pitch coaching and warm-ups, our B-BIC innovators will step up to the plate and pitch their technologies. All are welcome to attend the live pitching event. Our industry and investor “umpires” will make the call and crown the pitching champ.
