1. MGPA Monthly Planning Meeting on Nov 20-
    Sponsored by the Mass General Postdoc Association

All interested research fellows are welcome to attend the MGPA's planning meetings. Learn how you can be involved, and share your ideas for new programs.

1. FINAL CALL FOR APPLICATIONS! MGH Research Scholars Program due Tomorrow, Nov 6-
    Sponsored by the Mass General Research Institute and the Executive Committee on Research

The MGH Research Scholars program supports MGH research faculty who are pursuing either fundamental (basic) or clinical research at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The intent of these awards is to support the careers of outstanding MGH investigators doing cutting-edge research that is highly innovative and expected to result in fundamental scientific discoveries and/or clinical applications.

Application Deadline: Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 5:00 PM

2. Do you need help identifying funding opportunities?
    Offered through the Office for Research Career Development

If yes - make an appointment to meet with Amy Robb, Associate Director for Prospect Research and Funding Opportunities, Corporate & Foundation Relations, MGH Development Office, to set up personalized funding searches. Amy can meet with individuals or small groups who share funding goals. Meetings take place in the Center for Faculty Development office in Bulfinch.

3. SPREAD THE WORD! 2020 Biomedical Science Careers Student Conference due Feb 4-
    Sponsored by the Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP)

The Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP) is asking for your help in identifying underrepresented minority postdocs (research and clinical); medical, dental and graduate students; post-baccalaureates; college and community college students; and high school seniors and juniors (particularly African-American, Hispanic/Latino or American Indian/Alaska Native students) who would benefit the most from attending the conference.

The aim of the Conference is to provide students/fellows with an opportunity to network with advisors/role models from the basic and clinical sciences, medicine, public health, academia and the biopharmaceutical industry. These advisors/role models will encourage students/fellows to complete advanced studies and provide concrete advice and information on available resources, professional opportunities and career paths in biomedical science and other science-related fields.

Date: Friday, April 3, 2020 and Saturday, April 4, 2020
Location: The Westin Copley Place, Boston, MA
