1. Managing Parenthood and Your Career: Transitioning to Parenthood on Dec 12-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Work-Life Balance Series
    Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development and the Office for Women's Careers

Join the Center for Faculty Development and the Office for Women's Careers for a panel discussion on work-life balance and keeping your career on track during the first years of parenthood. Discussion topics will include:

 • Navigating the first months of parenthood
 • Returning from parental leave
 • Choosing/finding childcare that works for your career and family
 • Time management as a parent of infants and toddlers

2. Conflict Management at Work on Jan 9-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Negotiation Series
    Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development, Graduate Student Division, and the Post-Doctoral Division

A seminar for MGH faculty and research fellows with HMS academic appointments, and MGH PhD graduate students in research.

This seminar will explore the benefits of understanding conflict and provide a pragmatic, situational approach to conflict resolution. Melissa Brodrick will demonstrate how and when to use the conflict-handling styles effectively and coach participants to initiate productive dialogue to deal with conflict situations.

3. ORCD Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series 2019 seminars

The final four sessions of the ORCDs 2018-2019 RCR series will take place February thru June 2019. Each seminar fulfills one hour of RCR education for NIH trainees, and the seminars are open to all interested researchers.
