- Mock Study Section for NIH Grant Reviews on Aug 9-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Communication Series

Would you like to know what happens after you send your grant application to NIH? This ‘mock’ study section will provide a window into the NIH grant review process. Featuring MGH faculty with extensive NIH study section experience, this program will help you:
    •  Understand the NIH instructions to reviewers and the grant scoring process
    •  Experience the type of discussion that takes place on NIH review panels
    •  See examples of funded and unfunded grants being reviewed

1. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS! Scientists Teaching Science Online Course due Aug 16-
    Presented by the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows

Are you interested in teaching, but your students doze off during your lectures? Do you find yourself wondering if there’s a different way of teaching science than just talking to them and showing them slides and illustrations? Take this online course and learn about active learning, creating course objectives and test items, and finding ways to improve your teaching and assessment techniques for students of all ages.

2. "Transitioning from Academia to Industry" on Aug 17-
