Why should PIs encourage their postdoc’s participation in the CPP Internship Program?
The traditional academic career path followed by most current PIs at MGH is no longer widely available, and the future success of our current postdoctoral fellows depends on their ability to explore different career options. MGH research fellows are trainees, and there is an expectation that they will have time for career advancement activities in addition to their primary research activities. The success of postdoctoral fellows reflects positively on their PIs, and the CPP internship program is designed to help fellows become strong candidates for many different career paths.
