1. "FALL KICK-OFF" Graduate Student Back to School Social on Sep 6 -

To celebrate the beginning of the new 2018-2019 Academic Year the MGH Graduate Student Division would like to invite you to a "FALL KICK-OFF" Graduate Student Back to School Social.

We invite all MGH Graduate students to join us for pizza, ice cream and networking!

2. Overview of Career Opportunities in the Life Science Sector on Oct 11 -
    Graduate Student Division Career Advancement Series

Are you interested in exploring your future career opportunities? This seminar will focus on career opportunities available to individuals with advanced degrees and provides an overview of the skills needed to excel in each type of role.

At this seminar you will learn about:
    •  Research and non-research career paths such as consulting, product development, etc.
    •  Numerous opportunities for you in non-profit and for-profit organizations
    •  Professional associations and groups that are active in the Boston area life sciences
    •  Transferable skills, their importance and how to highlight them for specific roles

2. Harvard Catalyst Mentee-Mentor Matching Program -
    Harvard Catalyst Announcement

One-year September 2018 - July 2019 program for graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty seeking guidance on overall career development, pairs junior investigators with senior faculty who serve as developmental mentors. The program goals are:
   Understand the importance of developmental mentoring.
   Understand key challenges that can be overcome by mentoring.
   Learn about mentoring networks and begin to create a network of senior and peer mentors.

Dates: September 25, 2018 through June 13, 2019
Application deadline is 5:00 PM on Fri, Aug 17.
