The Center for Faculty Development (CFD) was established to facilitate career development of ALL MGH faculty. This umbrella organization addresses all aspects of faculty development, as well as, specializing on the clinical faculty through the Office for Clinical Careers (OCC), the research communities through the Office for Research Career Development (ORCD) and the women faculty through the Office for Women's Careers (OWC).

1. Academic Career Advancement Series (ACAS) in June-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Career Advancement Series

Are you interested in learning about the academic promotion process?

If so, please register for the Academic Career Advancement Series (ACAS). The annual ACAS helps MGH faculty better understand the process of academic advancement and promotion. Plan to come and hear how to get promoted! Each panel will feature an MGH faculty from department leadership, a recently promoted faculty colleague, and a representative from the HMS Office for Faculty Affairs.

2. RCR: Data Management & Research Integrity on Jun 25-
    Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series
    Sponsored by the Office for Research Career Development

The final Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) session of the 2018-2019 academic year will discuss:
   - Management of research data for publication and sharing
   - Research integrity in collaborations and publications
   - Perspectives of an HMS policymaker and an MGH faculty member

        Sponsored by the HMS Office for Diversity Inclusion & Community Partnership (DCIP)

The Barbara J. McNeil Faculty Award for Exceptional Service recognizes faculty who have made exemplary contributions in service of Harvard Medical School and/or Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Commitment to institutional service is necessary to the overall success of HMS/HSDM. This Award was established to recognize and celebrate faculty who have set the standard for service at HMS/HSDM through their personal initiative in providing service and engaging others to do the same. Such service often goes unrecognized and unheralded.

Eligibility for the award:
HMS/HSDM faculty members with a rank of instructor through professor are eligible for the award.
Faculty members who hold decanal positions are not eligible.

Self-nominations are accepted.
