This umbrella organization addresses all aspects of faculty development, as well as, specializing on the clinical faculty through the Office for Clinical Careers (OCC), the research communities through the Office for Research Career Development (ORCD) and the women faculty through the Office for Women's Careers (OWC).

1. Research Fellow Poster Celebration on May 20-
    Postdoc Development Seminar: Career Advancement Series

All faculty are encouraged to attend the PDD Annual Research Fellow Poster Celebration, which showcases the research accomplishments of MGH postdoctoral fellows. Posters will be on display in the Bulfinch Tent, and lectures and awards will follow this agenda:

2. Academic Career Advancement Series (ACAS) in June-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Career Advancement Series

Are you interested in learning about the academic promotion process?

If so, please register for the Academic Career Advancement Series (ACAS). The annual ACAS helps MGH faculty better understand the process of academic advancement and promotion. Plan to come and hear how to get promoted! Each panel will feature an MGH faculty from department leadership, a recently promoted faculty colleague, and a representative from the HMS Office for Faculty Affairs.

    Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series

The final Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) session of the 2018-2019 academic year will discuss:

1. Save the Date! AAMC Mid- Career Minority Faculty Leadership Seminar in Oct -
    Sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)

The AAMC is pleased to announce the 2019 Mid-Career Minority Faculty Seminar. This seminar is designed for associate professor level faculty who are members of underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups. Attendees will gain many benefits during this new blended-learning program, which will address the specific needs of mid-career faculty from a culturally responsive approach, including how to:
  • Assess professional development goals and identify strategies and tools for promotion and tenure
  • Develop key professional competencies in academic leadership
  • Enhance leadership skills in the areas of communication, team building, change management, and work-life balance
  • Expand network of colleagues and sponsors
